Dossier Seabird Bycatch Working Group

In recognition of the serious problem posed to seabirds by fisheries interactions, the Seabird Bycatch Working Group (SBWG) was established to advise the Agreement on actions that will assist in assessment, mitigation and reduction of negative interactions between fishing operations and albatrosses and petrels. The working group comprises representatives from ACAP's 13 Parties, together with invited experts with relevant technical or other expertise.

Dossier Population and Conservation Status Working Group

The ACAP Advisory Committee merged the Status and Trends, and Breeding Sites working groups into a single working group, the Population and Conservation Status Working Group (PaCSWG), at its Sixth Meeting in August 2011 in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

ACAP is a multilateral agreement which seeks to conserve listed albatrosses, petrels and shearwaters by coordinating international activity to mitigate known threats to their populations.
